From mapping the treatment areas to revealing your final result, our surgeons ensure you feel supported, informed and confident throughout the process.
Meet your consultant surgeon to discuss your goals and assess the areas of concern. We’ll confirm whether liposuction alone or in combination with another procedure will give the best result.
Your surgeon will map the treatment areas and plan the technique to ensure smooth, even results and minimise scarring for a natural contour.
Under general anaesthetic, fat is gently removed through tiny incisions. You’ll usually go home the same day wearing a compression garment to support healing.
Follow-up appointments monitor your healing and progress. As swelling settles over the following weeks, your refined shape becomes more defined and balanced.
Liposuction is popular amongst both women and men. It is most suitable for individuals who are of normal body weight that desire removal of fat deposits that have proved resistant to diet and exercise. Liposuction is not a practical method to lose weight.
Liposuction can achieve great results in the following areas: thighs, hips, waist, abdomen, buttocks, arms, chin, back, neck, breasts, chest, and knees. At TPSG we treat both men and women.
At TPSG all patients will be seen by the surgeon who is going to perform the procedure on them. A careful medical history and examination will be carried out. All concerns are discussed and an appropriate, achievable and safe liposculpting procedure will be chosen. It is common for patients to need more than one operative session to achieve their desired goals, as there is a safe limit of how much fat can be removed in one operation.
Liposuction can be performed under local or general anaesthesia depending on the size of the area and amount of excess fat to be removed. Local anaesthesia is only suitable if the area is small and the treatment is purely focused on that area. Otherwise all other cases will be with the patient under general anaesthesia. Most patients can go home on the same day.
The liposculpting is carried out through small incisions allowing access for a liposuction cannula to be inserted to remove the excess the fat. The incisions are sutured using absorbable sutures and a small sticky dressing is placed on the incision. At the end of the operation patients are placed in compression garments, which have to be worn 24 hours a day for six weeks after the operation. These garments help to contour the skin and reduce amount post-operative swelling.

Patients are encouraged to mobilise normally as much as possible discomfort allowing. Patients can have a shower 48 hours after the operation and reapply the compression garments. Most people can go back to work and driving 2 weeks after the operation. Sporting activities and heavy manual work can commence 4-6 after the operation.
It takes 3-6 months for the full benefit of liposculpting to be noticeable, once the swelling has subsided.
In carefully selected patients liposculpting has an excellent outcome and patient satisfaction has been reported as over 98% in the world literature. However, subsequent significant weight gain will partially reverse the results. Therefore, it is essential for patients to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
In carefully selected patients, liposuction has very few risks. At TPSG patient safety is paramount, and treatments are tailored to individual patients to minimise the risks. Minor skin infections, discomfort, bruising, swelling and mild contour irregularity are some of the more common risks.

I had a TT, Lipo suction and muscle repair in August, the procedure was done by Dr Dan Marsh and what an incredible journey.
For me it has been painless and I’m in love with my new body, the team at PSG have been amazing. Photos of before and after 6 weeks post op.
No. Liposuction is designed to remove stubborn pockets of fat and refine your silhouette. It is not a treatment for obesity or a substitute for weight loss.
Several areas can often be treated during the same procedure, depending on your goals and overall health. Your surgeon will help you plan the safest and most effective approach.
You’ll notice an immediate change in contour, but swelling takes several weeks to fully settle. Most patients see their final result within three to six months.
