Your breast reduction journey is carefully guided from consultation to recovery. We make sure you feel informed, supported and confident at every stage.
With a clear process and experienced surgeons by your side, you can focus on the transformation ahead, knowing every detail has been considered.
You'll meet your consultant surgeon, go through your medical history, and have a detailed examination. Together you’ll discuss expectations, what’s technically possible, and your options.
The surgeon determines how much tissue needs removing, the best incision pattern, nipple position, skin quality, and where minimal scarring is achievable.
Under general anaesthetic, excess tissue & skin are removed, breasts reshaped, wounds closed. Dressings applied; supportive bra worn. Usually day case (no drains), followed by rest at home.
You’ll have a follow-up about a week later for dressing changes. Rest, limit strenuous activity, gradually resume exercise. Results are long-lasting, though shape and size may vary with ageing and weight changes.

"I am six weeks post op and my breast reduction was the best decision I ever made. I was actually approved for the surgery via the NHS but I chose to go with Mr Dan Marsh after seeing some of his work on a Facebook group.
I had pain I didn't even realize was coming from my heavy breasts until after the surgery. It disappeared literally overnight. I am SO HAPPY I haven't stopped smiling since I woke up from the surgery."

Breast reduction surgery can sometimes affect your ability to breastfeed, as some of the milk ducts may be removed or repositioned during surgery. Many women are still able to breastfeed, but this cannot be guaranteed. If breastfeeding in the future is important to you, your surgeon will discuss techniques that aim to preserve this function wherever possible.
Breast reduction scars usually follow an anchor or lollipop pattern around the areola and down to the crease under the breast. While they are permanent, scars typically fade significantly over time. Our surgeons use meticulous techniques to keep scarring as discreet as possible and will guide you on scar care to help achieve the best possible healing.
The goal of breast reduction is to create breasts that are lighter, balanced, and in proportion to your frame. Your surgeon will discuss the amount of tissue to be removed based on your preferences, anatomy, and what is safe. Together, you will agree on a result that feels comfortable and restores confidence.
